I have what appears to be a factory vinyl tramp in red. It has the Hobie logo embossed in the corner and has the heat welded seams. I can't seem to find anything on this one, so I'm guessing it may be rare. Can anyone tell me anything about it and help with a fair value? It is unused and I'd like to sell it as it doesn't match my Hobie.

Appears to be a pretty old vintage. Single grommets across back. White straps...

New color tramps are $556.00

Thanks. So does "old vintage" make it more or less valuable than a new one? Sometimes old is good and sometimes old is just old. Not sure how that applies to hobie stuff.

In the case of trampolines, old is just old. It is an unusual color - but that could work both ways, too.

A problem with red trampolines (actually red anything) left in the sun is that they fade more quickly than any other color.

Sweet if this were a Hobie 18 tramp I would buy it in a heartbeat. I bought a new old stock 18 tramp on e bay 6 years ago, 350 bucks, that was a great deal, I sold the boat but have another and wish I had never sold that tramp!!!!, Hobie owners every where want red tramps, I think the late 70's early 80's was the last of the red. You have a jewel. Put it on e bay you will get over 400 bucks. where did you get it?

I was just on sunjammers web site they show white and blue mesh, for 556 bucks, absolutely no comparison to the red vinyl that is shown it's a Hobie tramp.

Red was a color sometime before 1983 when I first became a dealer. Red hulls, and tramps faded so fast that they fell out of favor.

Might also get $35 for it in an ebay auction.

My dad got it somewhere several years ago and never used it. He passed away and I found it in his stuff. I'm putting his 72 hobie back together (see my other post), but its all blue and white and a red tramp just wouldn't look right. I'm game for a trade if anyone has another color, preferably blue and prefer Hobie, but will consider others.

I would use it as a decorative floor Mat before I would sell it for $35. It looks in brand new condition, just double grommet it and you have a brand new tramp.I would not sell that for less then $150. Otherwise just keep it as a spare.

You are way out of touch with what folks want, when I bid on a red tramp which was new 6 years ago it went up to 350 bucks, this one will also, and in fact the boat that it is on since then has been sailed every season and the tramp seems to be holding up as well as a blue one, all colored tramps fade a about the same rate. Now I have never seen a stock hobie red hull, other than regatta decks, and there again, the colored hulls faded at the same rate. So to the guy with the red tramp, put it on ebay it will sell for hundreds, and to Mr. King you got some parts you want to sell pm me as you don't seem to know value.

My meaning was that if put up for auction, you never know. I've bought stuff on ebay really cheaply sometimes, and have seen the exact same stuff go for more than it would if bought new at other times, so you never know. It could go for more than new retail, or it could go for 35 bucks.
