Post subject:  Sail Storage Tubes With Homemade Resin End Caps

Hi Folks,

I am in deep trouble so though I should share a few words of warning. 'Do not use the wife's frying pan!'
But at least sails are dry and my couch is comfortable

Please find pictures of sail and boom trailer storage tube and hastily made fiberglass end caps.
The tubes are 1 foot internal diameter and 10 feet long. I have two of them mounted to the trailer (don't have picture of this at this time)

The end caps are currently unpainted so intend to get to this shortly.

Where do you find the corrugated plastic? I had considered this as well, but I don't know where to look to purchase it.

How much did that setup cost to build?

Thanks

Hi not sure were you are located but I am UK based.
A quick search provided https://store.jdpipes.co.uk/300mm-perf-twinwall-6m/

Its called 300MM PERFORATED TWINWALL PIPE also available unperforated.

If I recall correctly I cut the 6mtr length in half to make two 3mtr storage boxes and strapped them with metal strapping but a ratchet strap worked just fine as a temporary solution.
