Hi there,
I have a 1982 Hobie 16 and a 197? H16 as well. It seems the frames are the same, but the 1970s one seems 1-2 inches narrower on the rollers of the trailer. Is this normal, or does that mean the previous owner did some repairs and didn't get everything square?

Tried to search the forum but no luck :(

My '78 is narrower, too. The 2000 is, I think, at the current specification. No idea why the old one is different, but I have to adjust the trailer rollers for it.

No specification changes over the years. A tight dolphin striker (more forward beam bend) would pull the keels closer.

So that begs the question... what should it be? How can you tell if your striker is too tight/loose?
