Seen a few posts talking about jib sheets hanging up on the old school cooler racks.
Here is my easy solution.

You can see the line I ran across the front of the rack to the pylons. I just wrapped it up with gorilla tape to keep it in place on the rack. Works great!
Still planning on fab'n up a few racks this winter for my sailing buds. I will post up if I have any extras!

Im planning on making a fairly close copy of the old no longer available ones. May tweak the design a bit.

I have passed over several over the months. When I go out, I just toss a gatorade into the pocket on the tramp. But if my little girl goes, then need more, Add the wife, yeah, needs more.

I have used this cooler rack in the past It is not for big water and high winds and it catches jib sheets like crazy
The old style soft side cooler works better plus it keeps the cold beer closer to the captain

Hobiesrock: If you make them from some type of stainless, I'd buy one! I'm a 30+ year mostly saltwater sailor, and have rusted through 2 of the old ones over many year's use. The vinyl covering over what seemed to be just ordinary steel wire didn't hold up well in repeated off shore use.

I sprayed mine with PlastiDip and it is working very well. As with anything prep is extremely important.

We dont get much high winds, gonna try and take off work early 14mph winds. This does not happen much. 8-10 is average..... So, if there are high wind days, it would only take a minute to remove. May even rig up a quick release.

I sail on lakes. But we get big wind and chop. It hasnt been much of an issue for me. Empty you never know its there. Really big chop you can feel it hit the cooler every once in a while. See my 1st post up top regarding jib lines snagging.
If I make some they will be steel. Not setup to weld stainless...unfortunately.
Its a winter project that may get done...
