Hi- I am planning to re-gel coat my hulls this weekend (weather permitting) and wanted to see if I could get advice on a couple issues:

1.) I have scraped off the silicon caulking/seal that is on the seam of the deck-hull and wanted to know if I should gel coat the seam when I spray the hulls? Is there a reason it was sealed with silicon or just because they were joined after coming out of the mold?

2.) I plan to spray new gel-coat on the decks and wanted to see if it's best to simply sand down the original non-skid texture and then tape off and spray with gel-coat mixed with awlgrip non-skid particles?

I appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks
