As October swiftly passes and winter winds prepare to blow, I really enjoy Indian summers in The Carolinas. 78 degrees, Southwest winds 8-15 not too gusty. It was just right for my son and I to fly that hull for several hours. Running a beam reach for 3 miles at 15 knots, making a performance tack and screaming back just as hard as she'll go is my idea of a good time. In the picture you may can see the small islands at the edge of the inter coastal waterway. Just past that it opens up to the end of Bogue Sound where it runs 3-10 feet deep. BTW this is 500 feet from my house.

Sounds like you had a Hobie Day! Great to see another NC Hobie sailor around too.
