Sleeve? Not sure what that means. It's loose in the mast? |

Hard to explain but if you look at t he comptips it has a big oval section then a long rectangular section seperated by a thin slot the bottom of rectangular section is loose up by tang. |

CompTips are a long fiberglass part. The base of the CompTip is a little smaller and inserts into the aluminum section. It is not a sleeve, but a contiguous fiberglass part of the CompTip. This is glued / epoxied and held in by the shroud tang rivets. So... sounds like you need to re-seat it in the mast. You have to fully remove it and re-seat. I use Automotive Bondo. Some use thickened two part epoxy. The Bondo sets up hard as a rock and make a really good tight fit... and is easier to apply / work with. |

Sorry Matt I am not explaining it well the Comptips is nicely sealed in the aluminum mast,no problem there.The Fiberglass part of comptip is coming apart where there is a small slot in it( not the slot for luff of main) there is a small slot between the sections of comp-tip Pretty sure epoxy will reconnect the section that is seperating. |

Other than the plastic snap on luff track... there is no other joint. There is a "mold part line" running up the front. There is another behind the luff track, but these are not bond-able joints. The glass wraps clear abound. This is where the mold halves split. You sure it's not the actual luff track coming off? Maybe a photo? Luff track instructions may shed light? http://static.hobiecat.com/2010_archive/support/pdfs/38584001.pdf The H16 track is a little different on the end profile, but same concept. |

See if I can shoot off some photoes tomorrow.You are right it is the luff track but not sure it is coming off more just separating. Trying epoxy and see how that works. |
