What have you guys done with your main blocks if anything?

I was looking at my original 1985 main blocks the other day thinking they need to be updated. I did some searching and found a Lewmar VF Racing 60mm Vf Triple Ratchet Block with becket & cam and matching 60mm VF Racing triple for under $270 for the pair. I like the idea of going with the larger 6:1 blocks as I prefer the 10mm or even 7/16" main sheet.

Does anyone know anything about the Lewmar VF Racing blocks or how well this system would work on the H16?

Sounds like a decent price and a good size block, but 7/16"? Yowza! Make sure that runs through the blocks and traveller ok! I think new 16's ship stock with 2 1/4 inch blocks (57mm) with 3/8 line. Woudn't think that a 16th of an inch of line size would make a difference but it does.

I agree, 1/16" can make a big difference. 10mm is still an option as well is only slightly larger than the 3/8" Hobie is using.
