Why can't they make these out of something that doesn't break. I have had many of these fail over the years. Now I double them up or just tie a knot behind the broken pieces. Are they switching from boat to boat after like each day or anything?? or do they stay on the same boat for the entire event?

I have thought about using one of those washers like the sell for the rudder system, and a figure of eight knot...


I am figuring on doing a couple of eye splices and some other things to clean up my setup soon...


Thinking I may make some Aluminum stoppers..

Improper lace is the major cause of failures check the rigging manuals for proper threading.

Starting from the trap dog bone thru the wire eye... Into the lock across the depressions and out the far side... Then twice around under the loop and then to the bungee.

The photo is correct except for a second pass around was used at the Worlds (smaller diameter lines). The key is that the right side in the drawing would be up against the wire thimble.
