I was thinking of one of these http://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/ maybe the 6x12. With 4x4's to support the hulls, for the mast you could make a vertical support from 2x4's maybe? Not sure of the rental cost verse's a good used trailer though,just thinking out loud.
paddlers2002 has a good point about turning radius I know it's tight on my trailer.
