I just picked up my first Hobie 16 w/ trailer and brought it home last night. I got a few blocks from my house and hit a bump and noticed the mast was no longer at the same angle. When I pulled over I saw what happened. It seems one side of the fork (not sure what this piece is called) broke so the mast slid off. Here's a picture of the part I'm talking about: http://imgur.com/HcywLBJ does anyone know what this thing is called and where I can get a replacement one? Is there something better to use that's more durable and easier on the mast?

Thanks!

That would be a bow stop adapted for use as a mast stand. I have the same for my h16. Any boating store would have them. Replace it with a yellowish polyurethane one if you can to avoid marks on mast next time. Good thing you had it strapped on there too.

Here is one on amazon on the cheap. Does anyone think this is too skinny of a fit to hold the mast?

I was thinking about replacing my mast cradle.
