Is $1500 for a 1984 Hobie 16 a good price? It has been used little since 1989 and appears to be in good shape from pictures. It does not have a comptip, but has Harken blocks and EPO rudders. Thanks |

Make sure that there aren't any soft spots in the deck. The price sounds about right as long as everything is there. Not having a comptip isn't a huge deal unless you are going to race, then go to your Hobie Dealer and order one, they will sell it to you at cost and should cost about $50 bucks to install. Good luck, You can never go wrong w/a used H16's hold there value extremely well. I have an '84 16 as well - no comp-tip - you can add them without replacing the entire mast? It's a one peice mast though...? G |
