Time to leave Steve!
Hop on the plane Wayne ...Jane?
Still warm sailing down here in South Australia - haven't worn a wetsuit the whole summer.
C'mon down, and when the summer ends you can go to Queensland and sail with Matt15 - planning to do that meself!

This is a LONG winter! Warmer weather last week got me hopeful- drug the boat down near the water and stood the mast up..................... this morning, it's 32 degrees! At the end of March! Where's global warming when you need it?

That is major hard core..... don't know about brave, looks crazy. That added weight of the ice and their oversized coats and outfits is gonna make getting back on the boat after a capsize near impossible! Great pic tho! Shows a true dedication to Hobies ;)

I've been sailing my whole life, well since I was 4 yrs old on my dads lead sled, and I couldn't imagine sailing it those cold conditions. My sailing season is from the long weekend in May till some time in October. I have a cabin up in the northern shield, thats why my season is so short. 6 weeks and counting till sailing starts for me......

Guess what?! The lake doesn't crunch when you walk on it anymore!! We have some nicer days coming, hope it starts to warm up the bay a little!

Spring is finally here - even in Minnesota. First time out yesterday on Pearl Lake, Central MN, 70F air, seemed like >40F water temp - fine with short sleeve wet suit, good wind and the whole lake to myself - lol

BTW if there is anyone else in central MN (within 30 miles of St Cloud) please send me a PM - would like to sail with other Hobie sailors.

My new Henri Lloyd drysuit came yesterday. Fleet racing starts the first week of May here in West Michigan.

Great looking drysuit!!

You should bring it over to the CRAM regatta at Crescent in 10 days
