Hey everyone. Just purchased hobie part 8001 jib furler kit and new furling jib. Ran into a problem during installation, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or solutions. The jib luff line seemed to be about 16-20 inches too short to reach the furler drum even when using the last spot on the 10 hole connector to attach the pig-tail swivel. Someone suggested using another 10 hole connector on the drum itself as well, but I think I would still be 4-5 inches too short. Is there any way to get a longer pig tail swivel, or any other solutions to this problem? Would losening the shrouds on the mast help at all with this? Thanks.

I did this on my 98 boat. the furler works really well ... it makes it easy for me when single handed sailing. when coming to shore...
