So I just got a hobie 16 for a little over $1000 with a trailer, and have had some minor problems including finding water dripping from the right hull after pulling it up onto the trailer. It was dripping very slowly, and there couldnt have been that much water in there, as it was not noticeable at all while sailing. Ive attached a link with a few pictures of the cracks. There is an area on the right hull that has about 2 feet of inconsistent cracks, not all of them are leaking i think however. I am not sure the exact year of the boat yet, however I believe it is from sometime in the 80s. It has had a bunch of work on it from the previous owner as there is a lot of areas that have been patched up. How should I go about repairing these cracks? Is there some sort of putty that I can just coat over it, or do i have to grind it down? thanks
