What is the best harness out there? Do you use a different one for skipper and crew?

I love the Hobie convertable harness, I use it w/o back supports

I agree with Brad. I have both skippers and convertible harnesses, both are great but I prefer the convertible w/o shoulder straps.

I use the Gill Octpus Skiff Trap Harness w/ the QR button. I realize its not a hobie, but it is awsome. I also have a Hobie convertible which is nice, but its not nearly as good as my Gill. Something to note though, the Gill harness is $70 more so that is something to consider.

I have zero experience with any of the hobie harnesses so please take this for what it's worth.

I purchased one of the Dakine sailing harnesses and absoplutly love it. Lots of back support and comfy to wear.

I had a Hobie Convertible Harness and it was very nice. The only issue I had was the neoprene that goes around the thigh. The strap runs through it so I could never losen it enough to be comfortable (not everyone will have that problem).

I got a Murrays Race Half Harness and its perfect. Fully adjustable and tons of back support.
