It is the first time that I strip down my 5 years hobie. Now I get 3 casts off the pylon - but the forth front one is like fixed. So far I used a rubber mallet. The hobie stands on the ground beat with the rubber mallet on the cast. Has anyone a trick to get the cast loose from the pylon? |

Since you've got the other end of the cross bar loose, you can wiggle the crossbar back and forth while a partner bangs away with the rubber mallet. That usually does the trick. As a last resort, you can try heating the casting carefully with a torch while doing the crossbar wiggle trick. |
