Here in Milwaukee, WI we have Lake Michigan to sail on but it the water is extremely cold for all but 1-2 weeks per year. Anyone have advice on wetsuits? Which brand? Full or 1/2 suit? Sources for purchase? Features to have or avoid? Thanks!

Here in Maryland the water is pretty cold until mid may-I have to sail starting at the end of march (I race B fleet for my high school team-this year prbly A fleet) and I where a semi drysuit from magic marine (magicmarine.com). For you, I would HIGHLY reconmend going to a full drysuit-when magic marine has them in stock, they have the best prices around. I would also purchase a shorty for some of the warmer conditions (my step mom is from sister bay and it gets hot out their in the summer, even though the water is cool). Magic Marine also has thoughs, although I would look in the murrays catalog for some as well (the magic marine one's aren't as good quality as some I have seen). Also, I would highly consider getting dry gloves (unfortunatly, Aquatica, the magic marine distributar in florida, magicmarine.com, is the only place I know that carries them period and they don't have any in stock) and some booties from murrays-the magic marine ones I have are only going to last me one or two seasons because they are kind of pour quality-my semi drysuit is holding up fine though. For your conditions, I would buy a dry suit with built in booties and try and get some dry gloves!
