I am hearing nothing has changed with the 2022 Outbacks and then I see the picture online that shows that the molded in rod holders have been changed to insert type rod holders. Is this true? I have seen people with 2022 Outbacks and they are still the molded in ones. I was wondering if they are leftover hulls from the 2021 production line.

It appears so. Just watched a video on the “recent” change. I picked up my 2022 outback last month but it still had the molded in kind. Wish I could have found a 2021 outback but there were none to be found in my area.

I wonder if it’s worth mentioning to my dealer or Hobie since I paid the same price as the model pictured on the website with the screw in rod holder inserts.
