I have a 2021 Outback and the seat won't lock into place when i install it. It takes about 20 tries before both sides lock in.
I've tried all sorts of ways to see if I can get it locked in consistently but nothing is working.
I've tried putting pressure down from the seat webbing, pressure down the seat frame directly, go slowly, start the seat from a vertical position, etc.. etc..
It's such a pain that if I dont have to, I dont remove the seat. But I also car top it so I always take it for that.
I'm also looking to upgrade to a new one but I dont want to sell it to the next guy with this issue.
It may also be that the bar that it sits on could be worn out? I'm not sure.
Any help would be much appreciated. I hoping I can swap out a part at this point.
A new seat is like $700!!

TIA,

Ed
