I have a theory that because the 17 is a primarily singlehanded boat, their owners develop a stronger bond to their boats than owners of other boats, just by virtue of the fact that we spend our time sailing in solitary confinement.

So, along those lines, even if you haven't painted it on, whats the name of your boat? Mine's Squalus. I know it has a bad stygma, but I don't believe in that fate crap.

Mine is Windchaser which fits because that is what seem to do on it most. I should change it to Windcatcher, maybe that would change the way I sail her.

Tad, I named mine " Blessing" on account of all the religious experiences, and priviledge of sailing her. Brian

Mine is called CATch-22. I started cat sailing last summer, but I am starting to get in control of her and may re-name her to CATchup.

Hello:

Mine is called Currito. He is in Spain. Yes, I have said "He" instead of "She" because he is male.
