Matt, I just did the soapy water test for leaks. I found much to my surprise the wing wells are fine, but my port gaskets , and hull to deck seams are leaking. No bubbles from under crossbeams. Does this mean my vents are clogged? Should I seal the whole hull to deck seam? Should I worry about the vents? Thanks, Brian |

Is it leaking? These leaks could make other leak holes leak faster, bit if it isn't leaking... Newer 16s have been sealed all around the lip by pouring resin on the seam. |

Matt, Yes it takes on water even in rain storms! I leave the trailer jacked up in the front, and on a hill so it will drain out the plugs! I really thought there were going to be more leaks from the water I've found in it. I plan on sealing the seams, and replacing the port cover gaskets/O rings. Should I worry that she's not blowing bubbles from under the front beam where it connects to the top of the hulls? I think Caleb said at least some of the 17s have vents there. Thanks again! Brian |
