Is there anyone outhere that has a H17 with a spinnaker and if so could i get specs on a spin and pole length how you rigged it on boat and mast etc etc.I have a standard 17 no jib. Any help would be much appreciated. |

It has been tried I believe. Try searching the forum for remarks from guys that have done it. At various times I've been tempted to add a Hooter to my H17Sport (easier to manage for the solo sailor and more versatile than a spinnaker), but am concerned about attaching it to the comp tip (even though I have a spare one). Also, I'm not too sure how much time I would get to use it. It tends to really blow where I sail and would add significant time to rigging/de-rigging the boat. |
