I bought the hobie 17 conversion kit, but the instructions are too concise for a novice like me.

I could use suggestions from anyone who installed the kit.

The kit included a mast tang with a lot of holes and a number of pop rivets. I assume the tang is riveted to the mast. I want to make sure I get the height correct. Do I install a bolt through the existing hole in the Hobie 17 mast and the end holes on the tang, then drill holes into the mast and pop rivet the tang onto the mast?

Pictures or a link to a video would be great.

Thanks.

Has to be the same height where the large shackle attaches. Mark the mast at the bottom edge of the shackle hole on the current tang. Install the new one by lining up on that mark. Drill for the caps (15/64" bit) install the caps in the holes and then the rivets.
