How many layers of fiberglass/carbon fiber did you use in the repairs.
Did you use less than to full amount of catalyst to get longer working life?
Any tips on coating the back side of the tubes? Mirror?

We started with 3 feet of fiberglass (3ftx1ft) then cut it down to two 3 foot long 6 inch wide strips. We wrapped the bottom, then continued up the tube, overlapping each wrap by half the width...so it's like wrapping a hockey stick, you overlap it a bit for added strength.
No, we used the exact formula for the resin...you could lengthen your working time if you want, I don't see that being a problem.
For coating it, use two pairs of rubber gloves and a long sleeve shirt, you literally scoop up the resin with your hand then massage it on around the tube and fiberglass.
