The dreaded hook failure. Oh Bastard.
Crazy how its all filler in that stress area. I guess sometimes things just aren't designed perfectly.
1. Grinded back the area (both sides)
2. Applied a full layer of 1708 biax, then multiple layers of chopped mat to each side, one side a session. That clamp just holds a backing piece of plastic to keep the floppy end of layup from flopping down. Poor mans mold if you will. It just needs to be close because you'll clean it up when you lay up other side. I use vinyl ester just cause I have it.
3. Sanded with board sander and DA and block to get back the shape
4. Filler is 3m vinylester
5. Figure out hook and next will shape it. Prob this weekend.
