I have small (1/2") cut through my solid vinil tramp. I have piece of same material I would like to glue over (or from both sides). What will be best glue to use? Contact cement? Thanks |

Contact cement worked well in my repair of the vinyl tramp on my H16. Vinyl cement would probabily work also. In my repair I glued the patch to the undersid of the tramp then reinforced the patch with stiching using a sewing all, that would minimize the 'patch look'. |

Not familiar with sewing all. What does it mean? |

all = awl A tool that looks like a short ice pick used for punching needle holes through heavy material (as opposed to pushing a needle through). |

Thanks MBounds, that is exactly what I ment and the awl pictured happens to be the same type I used. |

An auto upholstry shop would probably sew it on for you for pretty cheap. I replaced both of the hiking straps on my 16 with old seat belts and they did it for 20 bucks. I would imagine that a single patch would be considerably less. That is, if you don't have an awl or if you don't want to spend your time/energy. |
