| Post subject: | H17 crossbars meets hull |
Hi, I have a H17 from '99 but at the end of the crossbars where the hull castings meets the bars there are small cracks in the gelcoat on all 4 castings, my plans was to give it some silicone to close the cracks so the fiberglass wouln't get wet and the hulls maybe full of water. any insights? thanks for your answers

Cracks around the "hump" at the end of the crossbars? Cosmetic... I think this is somewhat cosmetic. Not a leak concern. |

Great thanks, i will fill them up with silicone. and then out sailing

Make sure the cross bar screws are tight. We tighten every day when sailing. A tee bar allen wrench is a very handy tool for this maintenance. Caleb Tarleton H-17 6446 |

how about cracks on the outside of the hull - as if the bar continued on through and made a U shaped crack |
