Congratulations to Greg Raybon H-17 National Champion! Good luck in the Worlds. Greg was followed by Ed Noland and Dan Kulkowski, all from New Jersey. Past Champ Dan Borg was fourth, with Bill Myrter, representing our Grand Master team, fifth.
Dave Wilder, from our Team Northwest was seventh, and Jan Kristiansen was ninth. They both had some third place finishes, and were right in there. Scott Ruggles had some good finishes, before having to switch to the race committee service with a bad back. Hugh Barraclough and I rounded out our Team with higher numbers, but we had good time.
Seven days with twenty races, including the Otter Regatta made for a full work out. Tuesday, with the six foot seas, and medium winds made this an experience with surf we do not get to enjoy in the Northwest.
The H-17's lead the number of boats in the Event, again demonstrating that this Fleet is alive, well and growing.
All H-17 Sailors were very helpfull sharing information, tips, and were always there to help get the boats back up the beach, as you hit the shore.
All in all, a great Event.
