While on vacation in northern Ontario last week, the owner of a cottage two down from ours gave a decent shape hobie 14 to me and my best pal for free, including trailer. The hulls need new paint and and the rigging needs to bve replaced, but other than that its in great shape.

Me and my friend plan to race it and eventually invest in a hobie tiger.

PS we are both very experience sailer who have raced 100's of hours with his dad in regattas on a Aloha 30 race monohull

Ok, you got a better deal then I did on my first Hobie. I paid a buck for mine. The guy who gave it to me paid $29 to get title on the trailer so he could give me the 14 and trailer so I gave him him $30 to cover the title cost. Had no experience on a boat of any kind but have already been out twice. These things are a blast. Just got the paint job done on mine. I'll post a photo later today if I can figure out how.
