So, I am about to buy a Nacra 5.2 in very good 1976 condition. But, I had intended on getting a Hobie 16 or 18 first. Why or why not get the Nacra. It is a fully decked out racer... but I need help deciding. No turf battles intended here! Thanks!!! Dave

Depending on the local catamaran fleet I have found it much easier to find Hobie parts, and cheaper from what I hear too.

Overall, it really depends on what the other local sailors are sailing. That way you can race in teh local fleets.

Good luck with your baot purchase.
