I've looked at these pylons many times in the past few months trying to find HID #'s and convinced myself they weren't there. But last night the light hit this just right and I found a 1 - but no other numbers.

Interestingly, both outer surfaces of the forward pylons have been filed, but not the inner surfaces - I thought someone had tried to smooth out some worn areas.

Why would anyone grind off the pylon markings? To conceal a mismatched pair of hulls?
Now I've tried low angle lighting and found another 1 on the other forward pylon, and remnants of a 7; my sail number is 1775 - were hulls and sails numbered the same?
