Hi friends,

My Hobie Cat 14 has a bridle wire that is 4 mm (about 5/32") in diameter. I didn't notice this earlier because the forestay has always been into the jib but recently I have seen it is thinner, it is 3mm (about 1/8") in diameter.

Since I have bought my boat used, I don't know whether this is correct or the forestay is not the original one and too thin.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Fabio

The original wires on a Hobie 14 were 3/32". The Turbo 14 came out with 1/8" wire, same as a Hobie 16. The Turbo jib luff wire would be the thicker 1/8" wire. 5/32 would be WAY over kill. That is used on an 18.
