Do the rebuild in a shallow tubb. That way if you drop during the process, you don't have to look for all the small bearings.

I am looking for a way to find a rebuild kit for my furler. The white plastic bushing that holds the two halves together is broken and thus the spool falls out the bottom. I don't have a Hobie dealer within 200 miles of me. Anyone know of an online dealer who has these available? If so, any guess to cost? Thanks! |

I rebuilt mine a few months ago. I purchased a Furler Tune Up Kit (61900900) for $43.30 and a Furler Bridle Yoke (61980000) for $20.50 online from Backyard Boats (http://www.backyardboats.com) You can also get them at Murrays. (http://www.murrays.com) Both places are excellent to deal with. Thanks for the info, folks! Just ordered the rebuild kit and am looking forward to getting this furler back in business. Sadly, it will have to sit in the garage until next April, but at least I'll be ready to go next season! |
