My 14 has metal v jam cleats on the back at each end of the traveler track. What are these for? I have a few parts boats, some have them and some don't.

They are the original traveller cleats.

The original main traveller had two control lines, one leading to each cleat.

It was really cumbersome. Nobody misses it.
