Hi everyone,
I need some help. I have a 14 Turbo, but with a twist, it's got a 16 style full battened jib. I want to replace the standing rigging but I'm not sure if the cable lengths are the same as a stock Uni rigged 14, Turbo rigged or something else. The current ones are Bridle 4', forestay 13'6", shrouds 15' 4". I can't find published lengths on anyones web sites (Hobie, Murray, Sailing Pro Shop, or Cat Sailor), just the reccomendation to replace in pairs. Also can someone tell me the correct lengths for Trap wires as it's never had them as long as I've been involved with this boat (20 years). I do know that all of the wires need to be 1/8" and it does have a dolphin striker. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ryan (Sailing a "Baby 16")

Take a look on the Hobie Class Association website. There are line and wire lengths there.

www.hca-na.org

Click "Resources" then the model.

Then click "Line Lengths" There are wire specs there too.

There are line lengths, but no wire length for the Hobie 17 . I have another who could use bridle and forestay lengths for a Hobie 17 SE and Sport. Have a link?

Thanks Very Much guys, this helped alot. It looks like I need custom length cables as those measurements are way off on the fore triangle, that and I want to uprate the shrouds to 1/8" so I can put the trapeze on it. Ryan
