Each time I sail the boat, I add some mast rake. I have added an extension to the furler and am working my way up. The boat sails so much better with the mast raked. I have also been shortening all the myriad of shackles attached to my mainsheet blocks so I'm still block to block. I have a 3" low profile harken lower triple and a double with becket upper. Those could be swapped for the H194 and upper carbo like the 16 and I can rake even more. However, the rig is getting looser. And that's not a big deal until I get out on the trapeze, then it's harrowing.

I have the shrouds in their lowest setting. My next option is to remove the chainplates on the shrouds and attach directly to the crossbar.

I'm rethinking all the rigging, maybe the shrouds should be shorter and the upper forestay and swivel longer. Maybe there should be an aussie halyard?

What is the consensus on mast rake? And how is it being achieved?
