The rules regarding titling and/or registration vary by state which simply adds to the fun. Note that titles and registration are not the same thing and each might or might not apply to both the trailer and boat depending on the state. I'm in Florida and I have a H14 Turbo also. My trailer is required to be registered but has no title. The boat itself is neither required to be titled or registered in Florida since it is less than 16 feet and unpowered. When I bought them, I got only a bill of sale for each.

In Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission handles boat titles and registrations and the Department of Transportation handles trailers. Whereas in Maryland, the Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Administration handles trailer titling and registration and the Department of Natural Resources handles titling and registration for boats. You might be able to get a lot of your questions answered on line. I'd check with them for your specific requirements.

Hope this helps.

Enjoy your Turbo. They're a blast.

Having gone through titling process for both cat and trailer in PA I can tell you the boat one is fairly simple to do as long as you get a bill of sale from previous owner and the serial #s on the transom on the hulls are visible. The trailer on the other hand is a royal pain in the butt and wallet if it's not titled already so consider that a blessing that it is and usually a good selling point too.

Thank god he has the title for the trailer. I was iffy about the boat title thing.
