Hi my name is Max Salgado and I a boatbuilder/designer I think I can add a lot to this hobie community in terms of technical knolegec concerning general boatbuilding methods so feel free to ask me about anything composites My question is. How can I remove the corner castings from the front crossbar? I unfortunately broke it half and I am currently undergoing repairs now Thanks Max |

Remove the rivets and heavy blows from a dead blow mallet. |

Thanks Matt. I have already removed the rivets and tried several different mallets to remove the corner casting but nothing seems to work, that's why I was wondering if there's any trick Thanks Max |

What kind of boats / composite structures have you designed? |

You need to be a bit more specific in your request.requests so we can help you. Try heating the casting with a torch (not too hot) while you bang on it with the dead blow hammer. |
