Hobie Manufacture Date

Hobie 14 Sailors,

I am really curious to know when Hobie Cat began manufacturing the Hobie 14s and when they stopped manufacturing Hobie Cat 14s.

I suspect it has been a good amount of time. Yet there seems to be many Hobie Cat 14s still in service.

I think production start date was Fourth of July 1967. I forget where I read July 4, but it definitely was an odd date to start production so I remembered it. Definitely 1967 or 1968. And I don't know when they stopped in the states, but they're still making them in Europe.
