Ok, so I've been lurking around for a couple months. i have a '87 Hobie 16 SE that I have owned since new. It has been sailed hard and suffered many years of neglect. I decided to fix 'er up and have had a couple of short dry(not really) runs. Meet a guy who rides a Nacra 5.2 and sail Sunday out of Morehead City, NC. South East 5-8 mph, 72 and sunny. We have a beautiful day with the exception that Nacraman wants to make it to Cape Lookout. Too much headwind for that to happen. So after looking at forecast we agree to give it a shot on Monday. I'm not able to sleep acting like a kid on Christmas Eve. Get up and out early heading for launch site. So, ok I get there @ 9:30 and all I can see is FOG. I mean, holy crap theres a channel marker no more than a 100 yards from me and I can't see it. Carrot Island, invisible. Forget about seeing Atlantic Beach a mile away. We sit around for a couple hours before calling each other (censored) and head for home. I am determined to sail all year long and will update you on the escapades.

Tight Lines!
