We have a 14 Hobie and all our shrouds forestay and bridle are the correct size (lengths), the mast is the correct length but the shrouds are far to loose.
The shrouds are on the tramp in the correct place
The mast when up sits at a angle backwards ie not vertical upright.
Other novice sailers tell us that we will not get the sails to fill with wind until we fix the issue.

Suggestions ??

How far back is it leaning? From what I understand, a little mast rake is a good thing.

There have been a few different rigging lengths over the years.
You want as much mast rake as you can get without not being able to sheet the blocks tight.

The rig on the 14 likes to be loose and likes a lot of mast rake (the mast will never be "vertical").
