1987 Hobie 14 Turbo for sale in South Florida

Hello everyone,

I have a 1987 Hobie 14 Turbo for sale in South Florida. The boat is in good sailing condition...it has new shrouds, new furling, new jib sail.

It's on the beach in Delray.

Somehow, I think it would be wise to remove it from the beach!

No worries. The boat survived Katrina and Wilma just fine. The trick is removing the rigging and then putting the hulls in the sand. As long as there isn't a large storm surge it isn't going anywhere.

Now, does anyone want to buy it? She is a fine craft...

Could you take some pics fully rigged? We can then get the word out. You can send to my email and I'll forward to anyone. BTW, are the hulls soft in any places?

The hulls are not soft. The bottom of each hull the paint is a bit worn exposing the fiberglass (due to the sand on the beach, I presume). It has a jib less than one year old, all the shrouds, furling system are new. The main sail is in fair and sailable condition.

There was a small crack above the port side hull where the hull connects to the trampolene (don't know the exact term). The hull air tank was never exposed to the crack. It is repaired, but I did an ugly job so a pro may want to redo it.

Other than that the boat is 1987 but still has plenty of years left. I sail it regularly but unfortunately life has gotten quite busy.

well i cant buy it, but i think id pay you money to see pics of it rigged during the hurricane. with the sails and everything. or put the camera live feed on the mast. just to see what happens.

sorry, i live out in cali, and the most we get here is quakes. weeee. the ground is shaking.

and p.s. i know, i know, im a horrible person for being amused by natural disasters, i just think that the tensile strengths and structural integrities of things are ridiculous

I was wondering if your hobie 14 is still available....i currently own a CL 14 daysailer but am looking for something faster and something i can join a fleet and race with....ur hobie sounds just right...let me know if its still available..im in the Fort Lauderdale area
