Hi,

I have a H14 Turbo and the tramp is just about dead. Can anyone recomend anywhere to get a new one?

I guess it's cheaper to get a non-hobie brand one.

I'm actually in Australia, but it might be cheaper to get one sent out from the US?

Thanks in advance

Phil

The Hobie made white vinyl trampolines are priced about as low as the least expensive non-Hobie trampolines. Check with a Hobie dealer first.

Hobie 14 # 10970000 $302.00 USD (2006 List)

Yeah don't buy the "Amish Dutch Made" ones on eBay. i was about to buy a black one for my old 14 but i glanced on the seller's feedback, and saw alot of complaints about improper sewing, and manufacturing errors, etc. they look so good, but are obviously strewn with problems.

the only things i think i would ever buy new and OEM from Hobie are standing rigging and trampolines. just so expensive for my purposes otherwise.

hi there my diy tramp cost me around $100 au

this would be more expencive of course had i bought the canvas
but i used a campervan annex that my neighbour was throwing out

i made it just 2 days with an old singer sowing machine and im not that good at stitching

i got the eylets done at a local canvas factory for $50

the tramp is around the same quality as the origanal and has so far stood up to having three adults around 80kg each on it .

well i just thought id let you know that it is quite possible to make one and
you dont have to spend a fortune.

My favorite pass time is fixing up these older hobies and reselling them - I have bought several Tramps on ebay from the Amish. I have found them to be some of the best after market products out there. I highly recommend them . echobie

In regards to my previous post, make sure you check the seller feedback for individual sales. It should be made clear that there are different sellers on eBay, and some have very good quality stuff, while others may have horrible quality stuff as the reviews would state.

Just telling you not to read exclusively this, but instead look at the actual feedback.

That is all.
Happy Sailing.

Everything I've read about aftermarket tramps would lead me back to a OEM from Hobie. (Someday I may want to race OD). The other place that I hear is good is Salty Dog Marine. I will replace my tramp with OEM but the wing tramp will be Salty Dog (unless Hobie comes close to the price). I will pay more for quality, but not twice the price.
