Hello.
I am a 14 sailor from Germany. Thanks for watching our German nationals.
I am in contact with the guy who wants to organize the worlds in the Netherlands. The biggest problem here in europe is to find charter-boats for you guys who come from oversea. As same it is with the guys from South Africa and Brazil.
We found 7 boats for charter and we think this is not enough.
The guys in the Netherlands still working to find a solution. Also they try to get some support from Hobie Cat Europe. But this job is hard!!!
So I think that we europeans should work further to held the worlds in the Netherlands in 2008, because for 2007 we haven't enough time to organize it all.
If you need more info, please send me an email.

I am in the Uk and am definetly going to race in the worlds. Hopefully I might be able to get a brand new boat with all the new toys for the 14. Have the rest of you seen the new sail Hobie have designed for the 14?

I emailed one to you. I must say, I would also love to sail across the channel. It would be so much fun. I heard a couple of people sailed Lasers across the channel, it probably woudn't be as fun as a 14 though.

There will be an international Hobie 14 event in 2007
Place: Scheveningen / The Netherlands
Date: 13th to 17th August 2007

Maybe it will be a World-Championship!!!

The IHCA and the organizer still discuss what kind of event it will be.
But i will be held!!!

At the moment I have no more info.

Ask me if you want to come and need a charter-boat.

Yes, i'm trying to charter a new 14 as well, but i'm coming from the UK so I can always just refurbish my old boat. Bob, if you turn up then my chances of winning have just taken a drastic fall. lol

I seems that the IHCA isn't interested in us.

The event will be held in Scheveningen in August but in won't be a official Hobie 14 world-championship.

It will be an european championship. The IHCA said that it could be called PROMO-CUP. ...whatever that means.

Here in Europe we just can tell you that we'll work for an wonderful event and we would love to see some of you guys from the U.S. in Scheveningen.
It will be possible to charter a boat.

If I get the NOR, I will post it.
