Jib flapping

Finally sailed the turbo with the jib, boy what difference in power. My question: the leech of jib was flapping sometimes, is that due to undersheeting or oversheeting?
And whats the proper way of jibing? Leav the jib sheeted in and when you flip side unsheet then lock in the other side?

The leech will flutter with over-sheeted conditions, open/loose leech and higher winds. You can make some adjustments to the clew block attachment point. Higher or lower will change the tension on the leech.

Gybe? Ease the jib out a little as you enter the gybe. Release as you near dead down wind, cross over to the other side. Trim the main then cleat the jib again. Lots to do when single handing, but the more you can do to keep both sails pulling the better.

When in doubt, forget the jib and release and cleat after you get the main under control on the new tack.

Also, make sure you're profieceint at righting. My turbo and I have had some strong words in 20+ winds when heading down. That 14 likes to dive anyway, but with a jib full of air, she really wants to pitch, so Millers advice about getting the main under control first is good. In really heavy air, I have actually had luck sheeting the jib IN before the gybe, coming across the wind, getting the main on track then switching side and adjusting the jib.
It is a hell of a lotta fun blasting down wind on a turbo, just a little more dangerous than with uni-rig. Okay, ALOT more dangerous!
