Hi All / Rubin -
I just moved into a cottage in South Bowers - and parked my H18 there. White sails w/ Red #s.
Hope to be on the middle DE bay this August/September - mostly Sundays at High Tide intervals.
Regards/
Dave L.

South Bowers?? That's awesome! You are just across the creek from one of my favorite spots in all of Delaware - JP's Wharfside in Bowers. I was just there a few weeks ago on the way down to our cottage at Broadkill Beach. Maybe our paths will cross - though I have never sailed that far north on the Bay - farthest I have ever sailed from Broadkill is up to Fowler Beach. I'd need to more than double the distance to get past Slaughter and then up to Bowers. Anyway, next time I am at JP's I will look for your Hobie across the creek.

Enjoy!

(By the way, I think that Bowers and South Bowers are tremendous long term real estate plays - if only I had some cash lying around, I'd have scoopped up a Bowers cottage myself).

I know this is an old thread. But I'd love to hear more about how things are going in South Bowers. Are there any other beach towns on the Eastern Shore that Hobie sailors like?

PS: There's a DE/MD thread from 2007 that also has some good information.

Delaware offers many rivers, and a good many coastal fishing locations that make any angler want to come back for more.
When you take the Delaware fishing tour you will find a lot of attractions the world of fishing has to offer. Among the many places you will love to cast your hook line and sinker will be the White Clay Creek, Pike Creek, Christina Creek and many others

Cindy and I have been in the upper, middle and lower parts of the Chesapeake, both Western and Eastern shores, as well as several tributaries. It's a great region for sailing!
