The location Craig is referring to is at the Eastern end of Meig's Point (inside Hammonasett State Park), follow the road all the way to the rotary (at MP) and keep going straight to what is basically a hidden parking lot just on the other side of the pavilion. When you launch you have to stay to the left side (eastern side) of the jetty as the right side is swimming area only. Be careful as you launch (or come in), there are a couple of fairly large rocks in this launch area. You can see them coming through the surface at low tide, but they can be less obvious as the tide comes in. No big deal, just take it easy until you realize where they are. There are also rocks just off the south eastern corner of Meigs Point so watch out for those as well.

I live on the other side of Meigs Point, about a mile east from where you would launch from. If any of you head down there, please let me know!

There is also Hobie Fleet 136(?) that sails out of the Madison Surf Club (about 30 boats?), but the Mad. Surf Club is private. There is typically nobody at the gate after 5 PM so you can drive in to check it out. ;) The MSC is about 4.5 miles west of Megs Point. I believe they have races on Wed. and Friday evening during the summer.

Resident's ID are checked now even after 5pm. Too many outsiders took advantage of Madison Surf Club hospitality...
