ANy sugestions on the best place around Toronto to launch? Quickest access to the open water? Any suggestions welcome.

It's been years, so my data is not current.

Firstly, try the wonderful folks at FOGH MARINE. 1-800-342-3644. They know everything (almost).

Then try Google searching for sailing clubs: there's Humber just west of the city, RCYC if you are well connected, the Toronto Island still runs Albacores, and there is a great club out on the Cherry St spit, which is probably your best bet.

Etobicoke Yacht Club has a nice Hobie fleet - see http://www.eyc.ca - plus the downtown Toronto view is great.
