I sail a H16 and I'm pretty new to sailing (in my OWN boat, anyway) but I have found that Redcliffe has plenty to offer. I had been putting in at Pelican Park but the navigation from the ramp can be tough when the wind isnt exactly right. Lately, I have started putting in toward Woody Point at the Humpybong yacht club. It's a public ramp but the ground is quite heavy with pumice rocks and shells etc. Definitely need to wear dive boots or a good quality sandal for launching and beaching etc. The club is open to all trailer-able craft and seems very family-friendly. Yet to try Scarborough, but again, it's more of a boat harbour so the wind has to be perfect for me to be able to launch properly and get out in to the open water. Hope someone finds this of use!
